February 24, 2024. Two years of full-scale war.

The current aggravation of military interventions has no visible endpoint. We are, perhaps, between two ways of understanding the present – a rapid, accelerating fall from the grace of humanism into the depth of the new Middle Ages on the one hand and, on another, a rupture in the thin cocoon of false prosperity through which cruelty has entered our precarious peace.

It is a reality filled with fear and anxious anticipation. A reality of bombs, humanitarian disasters, and refugees, destroyed cities and lives. Something you don't want to know about, but it's immoral not to know.

Since the Age of Enlightenment, culture has given the term “human being” a great and proud meaning. It turns out we are living in a situation where human beings can be tortured and killed in the eyes of all humankind; The fragility of global politics, balancing welfare and, of course, good old-fashioned bureaucracy do not allow for sharp movements. The global theater with a rather scarlet backdrop still has a dozen authoritarian actors. For where two or three are gathered together, they should be arrested. Especially if they have flowers, a piece of paper, or something like rainbow earrings with them… The motherland decided to raise the sword of repression above the heads of her citizens. Perhaps she will also lift a bottle in another to precede the murder by rape. This is the measure of intimidation, to punish the offenders so that a deterrent is established for others. This avenging figure has the face of a cop, an official, and a judge. Both of these faces never speak clearly, as a monstrous sphinx, they always keep their language ambiguous because they need to feed the system with lives.

If the criteria for guilt are blurred – everyone is guilty.

And it's not the last place of a post-modern dictatorship where the absurd merges in an embrace with a direct threat to life. It's one of the trends of our time. And since this machine has no brakes, once started, it only gains momentum.
